I'd advise everyone to stay with the original unless you really need a new game. There were no new surprises in this game. My family gathered to play this game and I expected it to put some new twits into a game we've played for years. While the properties, chance and community chest have been updated, we soon realized the dollar values were just a straight multiplier of the original game. No new twist on the old classic.
My son is a collector of Monopoly games.This one is fun, but I personally prefer the original I grew up with.it's more familiar to me.
Every time my children asked to play this game I was as interested as they were.This is a refreshing new edition. It was indeed worth the cost. The rules remain the same, however, it looks and feels more relevant.I recommend this version. My children loved to play Monopoly, however, it was no longer interesting for me. I bought this version in the hopes of reviving my interest in the game. The properties are more meaningful, and the currency is updated.
The game is really fun and the up to date symbols and references are really fun.
The money is interesting too.just add zeros to the old game money. I'm looking forward to playing many games and to win once in awhile.Carol Mitchell Having played the original Monopoly when I was a child it takes awhile to learn the new names on the spaces. I think it always has been a good tool for learning to deal with numbers for kids.
